Hair is the crown of the body. Beautiful and shiny hair leaves a good impression of the beauty and personality of the person. Good care of hair plays a vital role in keeping the hair healthy and in avoiding damage to the hair. Good hair care requires some simple steps like shampooing and drying, brushing and combing, conditioning, dandruff, split ends, hair dyes and hair loss treatments.

The harsh ultraviolet rays of the sun play havoc on the hair by damaging the hair from inside and outside. Summer season require special care of hair as it makes the hair weak and dull. The moisture of the hair is dried up and the hair become brittle and has split ends.

Not Conditioning Hair– A conditioner after shampoo protects the hair from dryness by keeping them soft and smooth and free from split ends.

Heat styling without protection—the modern methods of heat styling make the hair brittle and dry. It is better to use a heat protective serum or hair spray before blow drying, curling or flattening the tresses.
Not brushing hair before a wash—hair breakage during shampoo can be reduced by running a hair brush through the tangled hair before washing them.

Rubbing the hair dry with a towel needs to be avoided.  Hair is weak when wet and they tend to break by rubbing. The water should be squeezed out with a towel wrap.  Comb should not be used to detangle wet hair and blow dries them.

Tying hair tight before sleeping—Tossing and turning in bed with hair tied very tightly result in hair breakage.  The hair should be tied loosely before going to bed.

Applying hair styling products to the scalp—use of gels, serums and sprays to set the hair need to be limited. These products cause problems like  hair fall, dull and   lifeless hair

Trim Hair Regularly – regular trimming of hair keep the hair healthy by cutting off the split ends. Split ends are caused by dryness caused by sunshine, combing and use of hair styling tools.
Use Appropriate Shampoo – It is important to use a shampoo that suits the type of hair Shampoos with mild chemicals are best as they do not harm the hair.

Be Gentle – the hair need to be brushed in a gentle manner. Harsh and excessive combing or brushing will damage the hair.

Healthy diet is an important factor for healthy hair. Food containing eggs, vegetables, legumes leafy vegetables and grains make the hair strong.

Stay natural—it is better to avoid using frequent hair driers, colors and heat exposures.  The chemicals that are used in these products and methods are strong and harmful to hair.

Reduce stress and remain happy.—Stress leads to loss of hair.
Nourish Your Scalp – Hair need to be nourished at least once a week with  oil to keep them

If you must to use the heat to dry, curl or straighten the hair adjust the machine heat setting to low and take the help of the products that can prevent your hair from damaging, say like thermal protectant sprays.

Brushing many times

 Brushing your hair in a day is necessary to remove the tangles and to tilt its look to great. But too much brushing is highly not recommended as it leads to split ends and breakage of the hair. Do it only when you want it and you even need to choose a perfect brush to comb your hair.

Wet mistakes

 The mistakes that we do after the completion of shower is hard towelling and wet brushing, both of which damages the hair. Don’t rub your hair too often with a towel left and right. Similarly don’t comb your hair when it wet, it leads to the hair fall.

Rinsing frequently

 Washing the hair is a general need to flush out the dirt from the scalp and hair. But rinsing off too often has been linked with the hair damage. It removes the natural oils from the hair and makes it appear dull and life less.

Neglecting conditioner

 The immediate step one need to follow after rinsing off the hair is conditioning. Choose a good conditioner according to your hair type and use it after every wash. You can also use leave-in conditioner to help your hair from  tangling and dullness.

Don’t skip trimming

 As a part of maintaining the beauty of the hair, trimming is crucial. Plan your next trim after every five to six weeks to clean up the split ends and damaged hair. Infact girls who are planning to grow the long hair must have to trim their hair for atleast every 8 weeks inorder to shape it and style it.

Go according to seasons

 According to the changes in the seasons all around the year switch using  the hair products. For instance, in summer take the help of the hair products that consists of SPF to protect the hair from sun’s ultra violet rays. In winter, your hair is in need of a good conditioner that can moisture the scalp and prevent the fly-aways. In the humid days, what all your hair needs is de-frizz products.
